This cockpit belongs to the 1955 Maserati 300S Sports-Racing Spider which was ordered by American entrant Briggs Swift Cunningham for the use of his old friend and team drivers Bill Spear together with co-driver Sherwood Johnston. It was sold for £4,033,500 including premium by Bonham Auctions at The Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale in Jul 2013.
