A handsome lead (Jean-Paul Belmondo) who can actually act, a beautiful woman (Françoise Dorléac, sister to Catherine Deneuve) who is pretty much crazy, and a villain (Jean Servais) who is charming in Philippe de Broca’s Academy Award nominated movie L’homme de Rio (That Man from Rio) in 1964.
Before the lead can rescue his girlfriend, he foils murderous thieves, solves the riddle of the Amazonian statuettes and traverse Rio, Brasília, and the Amazon heartland. And for the first time in a movie, the handsome lead makes his own stunts.
