This photo of model Rosa Meissner at the Hotel Rohn in Warnemünde taken in 1907 by Edvard Munch was the basis for seven pictures of the ‘weeping women’ series. It is not clear if the transparent figure in front of Rosa was her sister Olga, moving out of the picture or Munch himself. Anyway, the shutter had to be extremely slow.
