Bill Clinton with JFK

Bill Clinton with JFK

Future United States President Bill Clinton meets United States President John F Kennedy in the Rose Garden at the White House in Washington, D.C. on July 26, 1963. Clinton, who was 16 years old at the time, was part of the Arkansas Delegation to the American Legion Boys Nation. Nearly three decades later Bill Clinton was sworn in as the 42nd President in January, 1993. Clinton says it was that handshake that inspired his life of public service. The image was taken by Arnie Sachs.

Just over 50 years later, the photo has gotten a fresh update from Michael Catanachapodaca, who colorized the image.
